The Wheel of Sinking Ships

Maintaining basic stability in today's society is like constantly living on a sinking ship where we must pour water out every month to stay afloat. When everyone is on a sinking ship, we think about ourselves and our own survival before we think about others. Everyone must stand on their own two feet, but some stay afloat better than others while others struggle or sink. As a result, we are a society of second class citizens. We are a society that neglects the weak. We are a society that is us vs them. We are a society that is trapped in this Wheel of Sinking Ships. In a more compassionate society, we should not neglect the weak. We should not have second class citizens. We should not be us vs them. We should be a more connected and caring community. We should work for others, not for ourselves. We should stand together, not stand on our own. We should be free from the Wheel of Sinking Ships.
